A 60-year-old lady, Adegunwa Adejoke, was on Monday condemned to six months detainment for breaking a shop with the plan to take, an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State administered on Monday.

Adejoke, an occupant of Agbowa-Ikosi in Ikorodu zone, had confessed to the three-number charge of connivance, housebreaking and theft brought against her.

The Magistrate, Mrs A.B. Olagbegi-Adelabu, who gave the decision, condemned the lady to six months each on the three checks, totalling a year and a half.

She, be that as it may, said the sentences would run simultaneously.

She stated: “Having put forth a confession booth expression, the convict said she was tricked into the demonstration by a few people who fled the scene.

“In the mean time, no merchandise was trucked far from the shop however she was gotten with a stone which she used to burgle the shop.

“In perspective of this, not disapproving of the circumstance, the court needs to ensure the enthusiasm of the state.

“You are thusly condemned to six months detainment on each of the tallies which will run continuously.

“This will show you a lesson and I trust when you leave the jail, you would have turned another leaf.”
