Jay Z who had an elevator fight with his wife sister Solange insists He has only ever had one argument with the singer.
The 47-year-old proud father of three was famously caught on camera engaging in a fight with his sister-in-law in an elevator after the Met Gala in 2014.
But the rapper insists the incident was not typical of their relationship.
He said: ‘We’ve always had a great relationship. I fought my brothers and argued with my brothers my whole life. It just so happens, who we are, these things go into a different space, but it ain’t nothing
We’ve had one disagreement ever,’ he said
He said these in a new interview recorded on Sunday before his headlining gig at the V Festival in Chelmsford, England.
And Jay insists things are still ‘cool’ between him and his 31-year-old sister-inlaw.
He also said he regards her as his ‘sister.’
Speaking on the rap radar podcast, he added: ‘Before and after, we’ve been cool. She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister. Not my sister-in-law. My sister.
When asked about how he views his wife Beyonce work he went on to praise the ‘incredible’ work of both his wife and her sister.

Solange had a surprise hit with her third studio album, released in September 2016, hitting the top of the Billboard 200 album’s chart in it’s first week of sale.
I’ve always loved Solange’s music. I think she was slept on before this album. I thought the album before this one was amazing too. Incredible artist.
Speaking on his wife’s Lemonade record and movie, he had nothing but praise.
‘Bey made an incredible album before, a hundred of ’em. She literally has 100 hits. It isn’t like she didn’t have hits before this last album. It sounds good. It’s a good thing to say.’
