A 91 year old grandma, Maureen Leathley’s gets astounded ticket to go to Royal Ballet in the UK.

Maureen in her prime was among the cream of the nation’s ballet performers.

Having begun lessons at 12 years old in the Beverley Road area of Hull, Maureen’s profession would take her to the popular Royal Ballet School in London, before she went ahead to star in operatic exhibitions around the nation and setting up her own move school.

Her days of tip-toeing in tutus might be behind her, however Maureen, who lives in north Hull, still takes day by day exercise and adores the expressive dance.

Thus in an uncommon astonishment treat, Maureen was given two free tickets to watch the Royal Ballet execution at Hull New Theater on September 16.

Reviewing her moving days, an enchanted Maureen stated: “My mum went out to work to pay for my moving classes, and I imagine that was really great.

“I’ve loved dancing ever since I was little. When I dance, I dance to you and I smile. When the audience smiles with you it’s a wonderful feeling.”
