The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai, on Monday evening denied that the Defense Headquarters announced the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) a terrorist group.

Talking amid the official dispatch of Operation Python Dance II in Abakaliki, Buratai demanded that what the Defense Headquarters did was a pronouncement on IPOB.

The Army Chief included that the announcement of the military gave space for the correct strides to be gone up against the issue.

As per Buratai, the activity of the Federal government concerning IPOB was correct and that the military did not over stride its bound towards the insurance of lives and properties in the nation.

“You need to get it clear. Above all else, what the Defense Headquarters did was to make pronouncement.

It wasn’t a revelation per say. Be that as it may, this has given space for the correct stride to be taken.

I think the administration is making the best choice.

“It is not that we are violating our limits. We are still inside the breaking points. Also, I guarantee you that what the military said was to set the ball rolling and to convey the attention to the general population this is what really matters to this association.

I’m upbeat that the administration has made the best choice right at this point,”
