Chairman of the economical and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, states they’re going to pursue the situation against embattled former Chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Pressure on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, to some conclusive finish.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Programme, Sunrise Daily, Magu stated the anti-graft agency has commenced the restored analysis.
“We are determined to get at the main of this trouble. That is why we’ve restored the analysis. We’ll retrieve all qualities or whatever should have been stolen from public funds.
“This is one thing that we’ve done dating back to 2011. The problem has been around court, and Maina seemed to be billed prior to the court. He was arraigned in absentia,” he stated.
Magu also stated how Maina came back towards the country despite standing on EFCC watch list, is really a situation that should be looked into.
“I don’t understand what happened. However I know that he’s been correctly put on the timepiece list and that he cannot sneak into the united states with no police force agencies. So something is wrong somewhere. Really we have to look at that,” he added.
On what has been done to make sure Maina’s re-arrest, Magu stated: “He was already declared wanted through the INTERPOL and we will visit other nations for help, particularly Dubai, USA and United kingdom. We’re already around the manhunt, seriously.”
