Former FCT Chairman of the experience Congress of Nigerian (ACN) and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sunny Moniedafe, has stated that taking out the National Chairman of the Party, John Odigie-Oyegun, won’t by any means solve the crisis rocking the party.
Moniedafe mentioned his on Sunday throughout his appearance on Channels Television’s weekend political programme moored by Seun Okinbaloye.
Based on him, the crisis rocking the APC was a problem that ought to be resolved internally and never introduced towards the public glare.
He stated: “That will be a mistake should you take away the leadership of the party at this time. It might be a large mistake because we all know we’ve challenges.
“But the leadership at this time is surmounting them one by one. Now, two wrongs don’t create a right. Should you claim that the present leadership isn’t doing right, removing him isn’t the solution.
“I let you know that if you’re a party leader, you do not enhance the dirty linen of the party in public places. You try to resolve it internally. That shouldn’t dictate the atmosphere of every other person.”
“We have challenges, we have to agree that these challenges exist and they’re surmountable. One of the ways to not solve it’s to try and take away the leadership because before you decide to stabilise, there could have been more damage. And So I appeal with anyone who has issues to impress calm lower,” he added.
