“About 60,000 candidates selected UI, 20,949 sitting for that Post UTME, 9,266 scored 50 and above (addressing about 44.2 percent) within the examination.
“In this figure, we’ve more female than male this season, that means male have to be empowered. The greatest score was 86 percent.
“We need to consider merit that is 45 percent, locality that is 30 %, all of the states of the federation is catchment area of UI, then ELDS.
“UI, UNILAG, Benin, Ife and UNN is applying 200. I believe we ought to set a typical, in United kingdom, students don’t repeat class, they are fully aware that all of options are not college materials. Many will visit college although some goes to vocational schools.
“The summary of it’s that we’ve about 153 universities, 42 federal and 42 states because some states are in possession of 2 state universities especially Ondo and Ogun states. So Federal universities are gone subscribed as the private universities they are under subscribed,” he added.
